you also landed your kickflip in this month last year to... you get to ride year round, and you have ideal conditions more than most. im not saying you didnt progress faster than most people would, cuz theres alot of other kids in florida with the same oppertunitys as you, but you had a progression boost that some dont have.

numb, I'll be the first to tell you that I wasn't good enough to kickflip when I did, but I wanted it so bad that I kept at it til I got it down, without learning up to that level... but seriously, there was a time when I could kickflip more consistent than shuvit, but for a while last year I lost kickflips so I spent that time learning everything in between "filling in the blanks" if you will. And ever since I've kept a good balance on flip tricks and other tricks. I'm not all about progression, it's not like I am/was out everyday saying "I gotta learn new tricks!" It was just me and a few friends having a good ass time riding and I was always watching videos thinkin how good of a feeling it must be to land those tricks. It never occured to me then that I would be doing them though. I just kinda learned board control and then tried whatever tricks I saw on the videos and stuff that I wanted to and then I did them... it's really hard to explain, and I don't remember exactly what I was thinking for every second while I was riding...

Nick Taylor, Wow... I wasnt talking about "you" going out and tyrign stuff, and trying to land all those tricks and everything you just said.... i said that living in a warm climate, having good conditions to ride in, and having people to ride with(being able to ride more) helps people progress faster. I know that any of us who live up here in wisconsin.... if we got to ride october-march we would progress a lot more to. and are lake in the summer is almost always wavy, seriosuly. its windy all week, then on the weekend its dead calm and there are a million boats out. plus we just dont get to ride much period. there arent many of us, and we arent willign to pay the 300 dollars for a no-spotter ticket...... its just a point i was tryign to make, you progress faster depending on were you live, and who you live around. nothign else
