im not really sure what the difference is between epoxy and fiberglass. i mean there both clear liquids that harden...but i guess epoxy is more like a glue and fiberglass is more of a finish

fiberglass and epoxy resin is the liquid stuff...there are woven sheets you can buy that you paste the resin stuff over to make it extra strong

polyeurathane is better finish than epoxy resin which should be the same exact thing as "fiberglass resin" btw resin is just to heavy thick and brittle for a proper finish, but the cloth with the resin makes a really nice damage and water proof barrier(whiohc you should still polyeurethane btw). . and its not the devil it just takes some experience and finesse ya gotta know how to work the squeegie and the resin

get a polyurathane that can be used outdoors. do two or three coats, and sand it a little bettween coats. That s the best way to seal wood.

Fiberglass would be good for reparing a small ding or something like that

Fiberglass is the mat of fibers, the woven cloth, or loose fibers . It is then applied/ mixed/soaked with either Epoxy or polyester resin to make fiberglass as we see in boat hulls. So fiberglass is truely a mix of the fibers and resin. Fiberglass is not its own "liquid".

If you want to find the good stuff at much better rices then boaters world look online for suppliers. I have never had a problem ordering from them and it much cheaper.

I used the west systems marine grade aswell on both my skates.

worked awsome because it soaks into the wood also so your deck will never get waterloged.
