| just get out in the community and ride. its all about your attitude and theres no way anyone on here could tell you how to get sponsored cause its up to the person thats going to do the sponsoring unless someone on wakeskating.com wants to. if you hang around in the community and ride in some of the tournaments and hang around a local shop something will happen eventually |

Iamjesse, Your attitude will play a huge part. Also put together a sponsor me video and send them out. Thats your best bet to expose yourself to the industry. _________________ arson-wake.com |

let your riding do the talking!
If your good, you'll get noticed. make a tape and send it to the companies.
If that doesn't work then resort to black mail.... |

dude there are some critical steps to sponshorships.
1. kiss alot of ass this is grouchs favorite part
2. show peeps that you ride. and it looks even better in a lepord print speedo or thong
3. dont be a dick to the guys who you are lookin at as sponsers.
4. dont listen to anthing i said and email sleucrew or do what the other guys said _________________ "That Hansel is so hot right now"

From what I understand, sponsors aren't just going to sponsor you for your riding. Another big factor is getting their name out at lots and lots of events. _________________ Get ya' hair did. |

living outside of orlando makes it a lil easier to get noticed imo, if u tear it up here there are tooo many others doing the same, but i dunno were legue city is but try and get a good video together and show wat u can do, then send it around and email different people at the companies and talk to team riders, team riders talk to team managers and eventually are an easy way to get to know the right people the right way. definately be humble. to me i think a humble rider that u see at a contest that is very chill and talks to anyone that talks to he or she represents a company and makes me see wat the company is all about. also do stuff that no one is doing, make ur self stand out, like if flip tricks arent ur nitch, find something that u can take to a level that makes you noticed, like bassino, last i knew( less than a month ago) he still couldnt kickflip but the ki8d is so consistant he is untouchable and stands out for it.
good luck also |

| u have to establish a style with new variations of tricks that nobody else is tryin, also try to join a club where you can ride with a whole bunch of different people. get to know people around the community and be willing to help out with events. don't be shy to ask about almost anything, wen i was tryin to get sponsored i emailed a whole buncha companies n got no responses. after a while, i got an email back from thomas horrell after asking him about a sponsorship and he said i still needed to work on my style and consistency, i took the advice and now look at me. www.levelthirtn.com/l13team.html |

Iamjesse, comps comps, comps. No one is going to send you a free board so that you can ride it on your lake in front of your friends. Contest get you sponsors. Do as many comps as you possibly can, have a good additude about the sport and be a positive roll model.
headhuntermx4, couldn't agree with you more, deffinetly easier to get noticed outside of fla... . oopps one mistake, i dont think the thing about team riders helping you out is all that accurate. Every dude that i asked to help me get hooked up pretty much did the opposite, IDK just my experience
good luck |

it isnt all about comps..... right now that makes it easyer, because unfortunatly wakeskating is takign the path of earley skateboarding and wakeboarding, where you arent really noticed in the industry unless you do comps.
In skateboarding and snowboarding there are so many riders who dont do comps, and NEVER did do comps. They go on there riding, there skill, there ability to be creative and take risks and throw together lines far more worthy then that of a comp.
The reason you dont see alot of amazing riders in mags, like ryan, who has been known for throwing amazing shizzle for a more than a year now, and has been to many photo shoots and has gotten many amazing shots, is because of this thing with comps. where you have to do good in comps to make it. where there is a bunch of people who arent comp riders at all.
This is all starting to change with Integrity, erich doesnt care what his riders do, if they dont want to do the pwt ever he wouldent care. And I know this because those riders told me....
Wait untill you see nick and Ryans part in Such As Life and you will see that wakeskating is coming into an age where comps dont matter, in the sense that you have to do them to get good and be on top.
Comps are still awesome, and will, and should always be around. thats why theres the x-games, and for snowboarding now Winter Olympics..... there just not needed. |

Get exposure and you'll get sponsors! .......(comps, video, etc)
Great attitude is a must as well as you get to represent the brand and its image to others....keep trying, if you got what it takes your turn will surely come! _________________ old school |
