it all depends on the ski and what you like.
Go at the speed you feel comfortable riding, between 20-22 usually. Then set the rope lenght to where the wake is the cleanest at that speed.
no best lenght/speed _________________

It is weird how much it depends on the boat too... Behind an normaly loaded X-9 anything over 23 is just too fast, and behind a very loaded X-Star I need to go at least at 23 to feel good.
So either it's cause one of the speedo is fizzle or they both off a little... Or it depends on the way the boat pulls you... weird anyway lol _________________

| on my honda i ride at 70ft doing 25mph, and i can tell a effing huge difference if its off, it sucks but 25 feels so good for me, the board is less likely to catch when doing shuv outs on the lip and my kickflip attempts are way closer. i sometimes ride at 65 feet and a lil slower but 70 at 25 is what i prefer, i dont know how u all can ride at 20 or under, but to each his own and diferent strokes for different folks |

Seem's pretty fast to me. |
27 mph on the ski doesn't seem fast...the rope length makes a big difference
