usually when you break somehting in, you have to keep it a cartain rpm for a certain amount of time, without a lot of stop and go from picking up a rider. I would say yes it would matter. Anybody else?

break??? i would recommend reading the manual for your waverunner before two much longer because there are many important things in it, i.e. how to flip it rightside up if it goes upside down. it would mention anything about breaking it in. i would doubt it if you cant ride behind it until 10 hours. maybe call the person you purchased it from. and normally they come out of the shop with around 4+ hours so it shouldnt be that long till 10 hours.

Definitly break it in first, my buddies waverunner we just took out right away and tore it up and he ended up havin a lot of problems later on, so imo i would break it in real good first...

cassette315, Its always wise to break in the engine first, especially considering that it does put quite a bit of stress on the engine pulling a rider out of the water.
