Im 6 2" 195 lbs and this weekend i went to try to wakeskate for this first time on my 39 Liquid Force Impulse. After several tries i figured it out but i still cant get up everytime. I struggle on the way up and i barely make it up on top of the water. My friend who weighs around 150 lbs pops right up out of the water on it. Im pretty sure its not the jet ski because when i wakeboard behind it i have no problem getting up. So is it the size of the board? or maybe my technique just needs some work???
a bigger board might help but try making your stance wider before buying a new board. i prefer smaller boards myself but to each his own. welcome to wakeskating _________________ "That Hansel is so hot right now"

It's easier to get out of the water on a wakeboard because it has more surface area than a wakeskate...some PWC's just aren't good at pulling people out of the water...my buddy has the SeaDoo Wakeboard Edition or whatever and it has a hell of a time pulling us out of the water
its all about grace. i weigh 150lbs and i can give my sea doo wakeboard edition a hell of a time getting me outta the water if i want....I can also pop out effortlessly...its in your ability to get up correctly. _________________ JMU
