Cell phone + water

OK so my friend (who will remain nameless).. backs his 4Runner on the launch ramp to pick me up on the Aquatrax... He always sets his cell phone on his lap when he's in the car.. he gets out in the water, the cell phone plops into the water and he doesnt notice...

... he doesnt notice till we are about 25-30 miles away.... we thought he sat it on the ski.. WRONG.. so we backtrack.. get to the launchramp and I find the phone in the water just to where you can barely still see stuff at the bottom.. I pick it up and it's vibrating like the thing's havin a seizure.. haha... yeah so it was in the water for like an 1.5 hours and we dried it out and it's workin almost 100% now.. the only thing wrong with it is the LED on the outside that blings every 5 seconds is now on crack and blinkin all the time haha.. owell--my friend is hella lucky... I'm suprized it work'd after all that time in the water! oh and it didnt get ran over either I'm shocked because the ramps were busy!! Shocked

thats what happened to my phone too basically. i love how they go into a seizure mode when they get wet. but now mine doesnt have the flip part of the phone so you cant see who your calling or any of the numbers, i have to memorize how many times to press down in the phone book for each person gHeTtOOO!!!!

i brought my old phone into a hot tub with me....it only took about 5 min for me to notice it was in my pocket and it was totally dead.

future advice...if your phone gets wet, let it dry before you try and turn it back on. most people kill their phones not by getting them wet, but by immediatlye turning them back on...hehe

YEAh that was my dumbass muchado is talking about. my phone is 2 weeks old. i felt like a fiznackling moron. but its all good, every now and then the buttons quit working so i give it a smack on the counter and its cool again.
