you can blink weird, but it's more like involuntary contractions of muscle groups, like shoulders twitching, blinking weird, odd facial expresions, and also vocalizations, this is just some of the things there are more...

Yes, and I've heard it happening to most people, tourettes or not. It happens to me alot when I'm falling asleep in a car or airplane.

I dont have any knowledge on tourettes, but nick you said you HAD it...are there ways to get rid of it, or does it go away over time for some people, or what? sorry if its offensive, im just curious about it.

when im in class (or driving) and im about to fall asleep some part of my body always twitches and it wakes me up. i think this can be attributed to my body thinking (knowing, etc) that i shouldnt be falling asleep so it wakes me up. i wouldnt call this tourettes. tourettes is pretty uncontrollable from what i understand and what happens to me (i think) is my body doing something good for me. im not sure exactly what you guys are talking about with this "huge twitch" but i think it might be similar to me and its just something that your body does to keep itself awake when it thinks it shouldnt be sleeping. if this is happening when you are in bed trying to sleep then maybe consult a dr. you might have some sleeping disorder or something? i dunno.

i forget what its called, but your mind thinks your body is dying and tries to "wake it up"
