when u ride the bi you don't feel the weight that much. I seriously tought it would be worse after having the boards in my hand and feeling the weight.
and jboss if u like your old 4-track it's not because it's wood... it's because it's heavy and u like that in your board. You could make a composite 4-track with the same shape/flex/waterlogged weight and I bet you wouldn't make a difference, don't you think? _________________

Nekkie, I hate to tell you this... but you are wrong, there is a difference when riding a wood or composite board. The both store energy differently as well as dampen chop in the water when riding to name a few.
BUT... when i talk about composite boards, im speaking of everything but Integrity because it is in a class of its own because of the way its constructed, main reason is because it is not compression molded like a wakeboard. Thats a good portion of the "feel" although weight and rail shape do play a big part of why most compare composite boards to wood boards, but in fact they do ride differently. _________________ arson-wake.com |

NoPidy, AND the varial hampson does in WBM is out in the flats, very clean, and caught high. AND that guy brian dawlie or however you spell it, supposedly couldnt kickflip on a wakeskate, and now he can with the bilevel, so it definitely is good for flip tricks i think. the kickflips i landed on mine before it broke were the cleanest, most 'flicked' ones i had ever landed. |

SleuCrew, i am gna agree with u, imo you can make a non wood skate feel like wood or ride as good as wood but it will never be the same. i havent riden a wood skate of my own since my 03 thomas. its not the same hitting rails on anything but wood. when u ollie on to a flat bar wod absorbs it and it feels so smooth, when u get on with anything else it clanks and bounces and i dunno i dont like it as much. but well in the water uyou can come close to mimicing wood but its still not the same.
cum2me, he can now as far as i know. i dont think it was the bi-lev that enable him to kickflip but i will agree it prob helped. |

I definetly notice a different feel in riding composite vs wood, and I think wood is way better and so does cassette. I don't think you'll see a composite board from them ever. This is the first bi-level wakeskate and of course it has room for improvement. It will only get better every year. _________________ dbanana wrote:

yea this was was the first year the bilevel was released and they happened to have a delaming problem. someone said a while ago that someone from cassette said the bilevels were gonna be stronger next year and will be triple dipped so no more delaming or breaking for the most part. _________________ I like to choke when my team needs me the most, no Romo. |

jboss,
Dont be so sensitive, you whiny little beach!
Maybe they should use Morning Wood instead. It will stay stiff and keep its pop, until all the energy is released. _________________ Vive La Jeffe! - JLA is snowboarding!

Dammit Sleu, you need to take off the link in your sig, but leave up the picture, because, everytime I see it, and I click it, I am hoping to catch a glimpse of the OMEN, and that makes me happy. But when I click it and see "Website Coming Soon" that makes me a sad panda. |

I want to try one of these omen boards for sure.....
and i undertsnad what people mean when they say that wood has a good feel... i rode a k39 for the first time today and it felt awesome!!
integs are still better in my opinion though... they dont have the feel but they have everythign else, ohh and the lemons has almost the same feel as wood. |

SleuCrew, How much are you gonna be asking for these boards? And what will they be like? (Sorry if it's been explained before) _________________ - Evan Molina |
