since I don't have a boat or a PWC yet (I am looking for a pwc so if anyone knows anything about one let me know) we decided to dig a ditch in the woods behind my house to ride in. We are going to use the ATV to pull us and hopfully we are going to put a rail in it and what not.

The point of this post was to see if we are ok on our dimensions. We are going for about 1 and a half foot deep, 4 and a half foot wide, and 20-30 foot long. Does this seem logical, or our we a little off?

thanks for any help/comments

we're digging it by hand, that's why it woln't be long (at first anyways). we're filling it by towing back 4 5 gallon buckets at a time using the ATV and a trailer.

can you tell I want to ride really bad? haha. the conditions don't matter, as long as there is water and a pull, I'm going to try and ride in it.

Jonesie, You should set up a pool gap. Dig or build 2 short pools and leave a gap in the middle for ollie tricks or an optional rail.

yeah the plastic lining will help it hold water also so the water does not absorb into the dirt.

yah, then and then jsut go out and buy a bunch of hose,or go around the neghborhood and ask to borrow theirs. it woudl be easier imo. jsut let it sit there runing into your pond for a fewdays and it sould be good. but ur hydro bll is gonna be huge!

yeah make it longer. You should hire a mini digger for a day, it's not that expensive in the here, and it makes light work of digging pools.
Here's a pic of a puddle me and a few friends hit up a few weeks ago in Cumbria, (North of England) behind a jeep wrangler. It was awesome fun, but the water was stinky, red and FULL of leaches. It's alright if you don't hang about in it!
peace
