I tried goin behind a 15hp. I weigh 145 and I was at the verge of getting up, if i had 2 more hp i would have gotton out of the water. I am guessing that a 25hp boat should work well and let you pull off shuvs and stuff like that.
P.S. it is spelled skating, not skateing _________________

I rode behind a 15hp a few times. It takes more skill to get up but it's def doable, just a bit more physical than usual. But friends who just started skating had a much harder time to get up... _________________

I started wakeboarding on a 15hp fishing boat...I've never wakeskated behind one though... since gotten a bigger boat
I did try getting up on a skatedeck behind the 15hp...but it just didn't work...sorta just dragged for awhile and inhaled half the lake. |

Nekkie, ya but our boat was big for the motor. I was at the brink of getting up, i would yank real hard and basically be standing and then just sink back down to the sitting position.

lol, that is what my friend did, then he puked 4 fricken times. I never laughed harder until he tried dockstarting. When he ran to jump off the dock he missed landing on the wakeskate and fell into the water then all the sudden SMACK! i hit the seat in front of me. The rope got caught on the dock. I can't believe nothing was wrecked _________________

I have a honda aquatrax, 165 hp but i prefer to go down to the local park where this ditch is always flooded and ride behind my freinds john deere riding mower. 16 hp, 8-10mph. its a blast, doing surface 360's is so much fun when your just puttin along |

some of you guys are bad a$$es! I cannot imagine the effort it would take to do a deep water start behind a 25hp boat! Of course, I am guessing many of you are in your teens and weigh 130 soaking wet. _________________ Kampus K39 with foam and Keen Sandals
