I want to learn how to install it. My rich ass friend's parents BOUGHT HIS CAR for him. Along with the car they spent $500 on the paint job (the paint was perfectly fine) about $200 on a new cd deck. I was shown his new 1000w (peak) subwoofers in walmart. And i dunno what his amp or tweaters were (or if he even got them) but they (his parents) are paying to have them professionally installed. AND HE DOESN"T EVEN HAVE HIS LICENSE YET! Lol, then i started thinking, ya he has a cool car but if somebody asks him about how he installed something he will look like a total dumbass cuz he knows nothing about his car. I didn't wanna look like a dumbass. Lol, and i don't got the money to have my stuff professionally installed. Besides, it gives me something to do and ADHD people are fast learners .
Thnx for that site, i was givin it by someone on those audio forums. IT IS SO GOOD!!!! I wish i had it in school last year because the book didn't help me with learning about ohms and stuff like that.
P.S. I don't mess with anything if i have the slightest chance of screwing it up.

subs from walmart? lol.
i'm disowning you if you buy any speakers from wally world. fvck the other kid, don't keep up with the jones. the reason why you need to install it professionally is so you can have a first hand view of how to do it the right way instead of what you think is the right way.
you can learn fine on your own but it's always best to start off with something look at imo.
have fun

Exactly man, lol. I am getting all my stuff from the CarDomain website. I would never buy anything electronic from walmart. Ok, so i did buy my bedroom system from there: Sony - 5cd - 320 watt peak. But i am waiting for that piece to blow up any second (jk, it is a good system).
These are the head units i am trying to decide between:
(i was to lazy to post pictures)
I like this one just cuz it is cheap and pioneere is a good company.
http://www.cardomain.com/item/PIODEH1700?vq_id=none#reviews
This one is almost the cheapest i could find and yet it has some good qualitys to it.
http://www.cardomain.com/item/JENCD2610?vq_id=none
This one has the highest power, a lot of features, and it looks prety sweet.
http://www.cardomain.com/item/BLABPV755?vq_id=none
And here is the subwoofer/amp package i wanna get, but it will be a while.
(remember, i am a cheap bastard and hate spending money)
http://www.cardomain.com/item/BLAPCA12COMBO
And I will need 4 blue tweeters to finish it off. I just wish I had a lot of money . And i never thought of it that way, when you said, "get it installed professionally and then learn from it." That is a good idea. Do you know around how much it is to have them install your system?

NoPidy, before you buy from there, I'm not sure what your city is like, but if you have a "ghetto" or something, there should be a car audio store. Check a local store out before you buy online, and if you do buy online compare prices and hit up ebay. Also if you want PM me and give me a list of stuff you want and I'll ask around here. Try getting "in" with the "car" people in your city and check for people selling used stuff. For example at your school get to know the "gear heads" or whatever and hook up with them, I've seen kids buy NICE systems for mad cheap. Again PM me if you want, I might not be a super-duper-car-audio-kid but I know the basics and I know people who know way more than the basics haha.
Sorry for the rant, I am at my cousins house for my gma's retirement partaaaay!

NoPidy,
Crutchfield is a good place to check out stuff, I think now they have deal where you get an Infinity Reference Amp and 2 10" Infinity Reference Subs for $200.
Is there a circuit city/best buy/ sound advice anywhere in your nieghborhood? Circuit City did all the stereo stuff in my truck and did an awesome job. I know how to do it, but I didnt feel like having to figure out how to get the power wire to the inside of my cab.

Just plug in shiz into other shiz until it works...that's what I do. If it fits, and it works, then you're good. There's nothing wrong with trial and error.
