ssette41, jus push your front foot forward more, thatll give it more lift. just give it time, by that i mean practice

if your using a flat deck make sure youre foot isnt fully on the back of hte board move it about an inch up from the back that should keep it from coming off if its a flat deck

ssette41, not quite like a skateboard, but not straight down. push it more forward to get height and control.

so pushing my front foot more out will help with my back foot staying planted to the board? how does that work?

when you push your foot forward it straightens the board out, which means it brings it up, so that causes your back foot to stay on, in a nutshell.

well, for me when i ollie, i push hard down and then when i am coming up i start to push down with my front foot flatening out the board, that should help keep yor foot on there real good.

member you don't have to slide your foot like on a skateboard...i did that when i started but its better to just pop it up like a wakeboard.

"It's like a rhythm"-Reed

Ollie with your back foot, popping the board up and raise your front foot to enable the board to come up high out of the water.

As this happens now draw your back foot up to level off the board.

Get behind it. "doggystyle nigga"- Snoop DOdouble G

jakedickson, sounds like your turning your body parallel to the board looking straight down at the board when yuor tryin to ollie. since your body follows your head, looking down and having your body turned is causing you to get pulled forward. just ride like normal and keep your head looking straight when you go for em.
