LFfool246, Soon you guys will get a sneak peak, I had a little falling out with the artist that was working on the board graphics... but i have a meeting with a new artist here in about a hour... so its kinda a scramble at this point, but i talked to the guys who are finishing up my press as well as the molds and things are progressing quite well, So i should have the new press and molds in what could be as short of time as three weeks!
There is a "possibility" that i might release some pics of the new finished product in a few weeks when i get back from my trip to So Cal... But... i can say its soon, VERY soon! _________________ arson-wake.com |

Leif has dope style because it's his own. You always know it's him riding. That can't be said for a lot of other cats out there.
He's also payed his dues and has done a lot for the sport. The smart people out there respect that. _________________

I see what you mean Josh, but I still disagree. Here's an example that pops into my head.
In skateboarding, Ed Templeton has his own style. It's unique, no one skates like him. However it's ugly as shizzle. It has no rhythm to it and just generally looks awkward.
On the other hand Gino Iannucci has his own distinct style as well. His riding is so smooth and his tricks are popped so stylish (BS Flips in yeah right). His style is unique, has a good flow and looks smooth as hell. _________________ ::The Endless Summer 05::

every rider has his own style... just because his is different than others out there doesn't make him a bad rider...
I totally agree that his section was short and was lacking but look at BT's... it sucked too but eveyone (well most except for the hype haters) knows that BT is a sick rider and can throw down... Leif's section was filmed in two days, not much time to get some great footy... Im not backing Leif here because he is a kampus rider... Im backing him because I dont agree with your guys fews on his riding and riding in general... |
I don't know leif at all, so I can't say that his riding sucks or that he has mad style...
But from my point of view as a rider watching his part in FITB he doesn't *fit* compared to the others. I'm not bashing his style or his riding, I'm sure he can do way better. But from just looking at his part in that vid, and just that, I'm not impressed at all. And even in 2 days of filming you would expect more from a pro in a video featuring pros. _________________

LakeErie very good example.
Nekkie, thank you. like serioulsy look at some of the videos from ONE day of riding on this site.
look at parkys stuff, nicks stuff, nekkie' stuff, even that picnic table was prety cook.
I know Lief has dun alot for the industry, and im not bashing that, but i dont think he fits in FITB, and i dont like his style of riding, u guys can back him up all u want.Im sure hes a great guy, but that doesnt make his riding better, and im sure he has fun... but that doesnt make his style better. All im saying is taht he doesnt fit in fitb and his style isnt that great. Its personal opinon... grip vs foam, fins vs no fins, hyperlite vs integ. Personal Prefercne. |

| i thought his style was pretty cool. hes the only person ive seen doing those one footed things, and although he didnt through a v-flip or h-flip its still pretty cool. you look at the skateboarders and tony can do a 9 but no one else can, and tony cant do a lot of other things, doesnt make any of them better or worse. i think lief's got some "oldschool" stuff he brings to the table and i like we're hes going with his riding. even if it does seem like he thinks he's black lol |

Leif's style may not be perfect (hell, up until recently I didn't really dig byerly's style on a wakeskate. Well, outside of his riding in decline...anyway, blasphmey, I'm sure!!) But I like his creativity and uniqueness. He keeps his jibbing technical by using those skinny ass metal rails and personally, I wouldn't want to get all tangled up in that picnic table in FITB. He's paid his dues and I really have a lot of respect for him and his opinions and interesting tidbits of information.
And for the first person who posted, Leif's first video section was in "cagumas, the long road." I don't own the video (but I should) so I can't tell you how good or bad it is. But you know, it's got what you're looking for.
Seaman, nice post.
Pirate, it depends on the situation but yeah, sometimes I will call you out. Some people on here have accused me of "hating them", but you're the only one who should (let's see...this is "brandon livermore's" quote) "kill yourself."
In conclusion, I'd still call you my baby bluey and I'd watch taped re-runs of mad about you with you, even though you look like a gotti... "looks aren't that important to me." If the time was right, I might even give you a mackinaw peach, or let you play with my vintage toy collection. But first you'd have to stop using the fist...
yes, it's all seinfeld (minus the gotti bit). _________________ *The opinions expressed are on my behalf and not those of wakeskating.com* |

In my opinon isnt it the hard tricks that makes it fun to watch a vid. of course its cool to see a hardflip but i dont enjoy it as much as a smoth w2w 360 and to me its all about style and i like leifs style. As in asterisk steve whalman doesnt ride super good but in my opinion he has the coolest clip in the whole vid with his surface 180 shuv over the box and that isnt a hard trick but he makes it sooo smooth.
And i hate watching to see someone ride good but not enjoying it, i rather see someone that rides ok but is doing his own thing and is happy because as you are saying its all about having fun! _________________ www.ilsh.se |

wow this all got way out of hand. anywho its called style if you dont like his at least its his own. also his part in fitb does suck but there has to be a reason that he has a pro model and you dont. has he done anything to impress me ??? no... but guess what? he doesn't have to impress me he just has to have fun.
electricsnow, so does this meen were not friends ???? cause i dont think i could bear it if we weren't friends. seriously though you dont like me ? |

Yeah Leif is a sick wakeskater period. That video clip of him is rad too. I dont care what all you little 15-16 year olds say dissin on him and how old the video is. That video was probly made before all the so called big riders where being hooked up with stupid sponcers like nautica and abercrombie. Blah! Just stick with the riding and how creative the rider is on a wakeskate. Leif is the sickest so far. Its like skateboarders think tony hawk is the best skateboarder cuz hes the most popular. Nope. I need a beer. Shut up and ride. Later kids. |

humm it's weird how it seem that you HAVE to find a rider good cause he has style, or a good attitude, or having fun on a skate or whatever.
i'm sorry PIRATE but maybe seeing him having fun is enough for you, but when I buy a video I want to be FRICKIN impressed by the riding, not watch them have fun...
as I said, I'm sure he deserves his pro model or whatever, and he is probably a sick rider, but his riding in fitb sucks, period. I just watched it again, it ain't that bad, but maybe I feel like that because his part is right before the cassette crew's
ValleyOfTheYakes, your leif's little bro or something?
| Quote: | | Blah! Just stick with the riding and how creative the rider is on a wakeskate. Leif is the sickest so far. |
can I get a lol ? sorry, but again from what I've seen of him I would be far from calling him the skickest and the most creative... I mean sure you gotta give credits/props to the riders that keep it real and push the sport, but maybe you went a lil far on that one _________________

ValleyOfTheYakes, popularity aside, tony hawk is one of the best skaters ever. at the boom boom huck jam when it came to NO he was stickin 5s like it was nothin. smooth, veeeery consistent, technical, all-terrain skater (dont kid yourself, i saw him doin switch crooks, bs 180 50s, etc on benches with ease). yea he is, argueably, the best skater in the world. _________________ I like to choke when my team needs me the most, no Romo. |
