New DVS shoes for next Season - BIG images

Just had the DVS rep stop in at Boardstop.com. Here is the new lineup of shoes that DVS has been working on for the wakeskate market.

We are going to book some of these styles.. What do you guys think?

Diggin the Obscura shoes and the ones right below it..

not sure how i feel on the first ones.. the all mesh..

the first ones seem like great shoes to wear around when it's hot, but not skate in. the rest are dope.

The all mesh looks sick but I dont know how they would ride.

The color ways on the weird running shoe type things are solid

The Obscura's and Munitions look the best to ride in but my last Munitions didnt hold up to well.

Why does DVS still not recognize their wake riders on their website? They do a decent amount for wakeskating and Im kind of surprised they dont have the wake team on there

why does every shoe company insist on making MESH wakeskate shoes.....just make a regular damn skate shoe but instead of suede make it canvas so it doesn't hold water....

I'm freaking out on all of those ed! but the first two kind of scare me being all mesh. I think they'd be nice to just wear in the summer, and maybe for a wakeskater like me who doesn't do flip tricks they'd probably hold up...but they still scare me.

the obscura shoes look dope--they remind me of a cross between my huffs and my keirin rico cts. and of course, every other shoe following them look amazing as well. The munition ct is one of my favorite shoes...I went back to those for a bit this summer.

I guess long story short, I want one of each...and more of the obscura shoe. Laughing

I'm actually pretty addicted to shoes.

I dont' think mesh is a bad thing, i think it's more about the placement that can make it bad. I wish dvs would have made the obscura shoe with the rubberized mesh...that seemed solid. even so, this year's coens worked out well and they had a nice rubberized (or something) material on the toe cap and heel that doesn't take on water and seems durable.

those mesh ones look so sick but like theyd rip apart so fastt. if there real cheap for some reason id buy some! the other ones are sick though. my next skate shoes for surree

mojo, I don't know if those were ever even produced in the US. I think bringing back the unisons would be awesome...I was pumped when I found a pair of leather unisons on ebay this past year...so pumped I bought two pairs.

electricsnow, I just don't get the point of mesh, seems like some stupid gimmick to me. It does not help the shoe by any means, just skate a canvas shoe if your worried about drainage issue's etc....

Honestly they'd sell tons more "wakeskate" shoes if they didn't try to make them SO wakeskatish

how is mesh a gimmick if it allows water to drain out of the shoe and keep the shoe light? that's the point of mesh, right? I would think mesh also dries out faster. I know it's not the most durable material--that's why I think placement is really important.

I like shoes that are wakeskate-ish, or shoes that actually have wakeskating in mind but still have a skate aesthetic. to me it's like being able to wear a wakeskate shirt or have a wakeskate inspired or branded handle...sure, maybe it's not essential but I like that I can wear something or use something that was designed with people like me in mind. going back to the shoes, some of the ideas work, some don't...but to me I just like that people are trying to do something different.
