Well tommorow im going to try out my homemade wakeskate for the first time, which is also my first time on a wakeskate, i have wakeboarded before, so i dont expect much problems, but im excited

i would video tape it, but i have none of the proper equipment, ill try to take some pictures, but water and phones/cameras dont mix, but if all else fails, ill just tell you what i tried, what i landed, and how it went overall Smash

bonis69, im gonna be riding for my first time on my homemade board on wednesday and i cant effing wait. i finished sanding and gripped it this morning, i hope she rides as good as she looks... im gonna be posting pics as soon as i can find my camera

well, i suck, thats all there is to it.

first off grip, well i thought i could cop out and only get one sheet, but it looked like i just patched it on there

getting up, i got up like my third time, but i couldn't get up consistently behind the ski, half me half the incompetent driver.

and well, im not very good at tricks either. my shuv-its, when i did land them, were very sketchy. my ollies were super dooper weak. i think the only thing i did right and maybe well were my boardslides

everyone else said i did good, but i just wasnt satisfied Rolling Eyes

dude, if u can do a shuv on ur 1st time out, then thats awesome. was it frontside or backside? Was it surface or pop?

dont worry about the grip. my cousins have a control that they gripped. Now some of it is ripped and flying around, and the rest is literally screwed down onto the top or the board by about 20 screws. (honest, its true!) It still popped.

If u want to get gud, no matter how corny it sounds, u gotta belive! When i got my first skate it took me 50 tries to get up, and i thought that shuvs were only done by my wakeskating heros, Thomas Horrel, Scott Byerly, and the rest of those guys.(Mind you I was 9)

Just keep at it.

PLEASE dont give up. It breaks my heart when someone who cant get up on their 1st or 2nd try says "this is stupid" or "i cant do it". (im not talking about u, just people in general Wink

)

oh don't worry, i'm as stubborn as a mule, i wont give up until i can get a tweaked ollie over the wake, and after that there isn't much reason to quit
