its all about the back foot. and make sure your doing it Re-entry.

It makes it 100000 times more consistant.

re-entry behind a boat, Make you stay flat, instead of being on edge. Alot of people when the learn them cut out and then throw it with out flattening off first, If you dont cut out, you dont have to flatten off..... make sense ???

Id say compared to a regular shuv i use my front foot a lot more to get the board around and around clean.

Watch some vids of people doin three shuvs and see what i mean, instead of just controling the shuv with the front foot, you have to control and spin with the front foot on three shuv, at least in my expiriences. But i either go for big pop or nuthin on mine, none of this surface shuv nonsense

i dont spin with my front foot at all....my friend used to do that but now he does it with his backfoot also

it is much easier....you just guide with your front foot

you pop it and spin it at the same time with your backfoot

ok what really helped me on three shuvs was moving my front foot back a little ways from how i usually have it on regular shuvs...i move my back foot so i can feel my toes on the toeside edge of my board for a little extra leverage. then i just edge out about 15 feet and pop and spin the board...watch it below me and catch it when its done rotating...then ride away clean

i dont have any advise (and hope its to late)
my last couple times out i have been throwing them, watching it come around land on it.. with my feet together!!!(big mistake...) and always falling off the the back. it has been frustrating because as i have to let go of the rope i usualy still have a foot on the board.. i keep coming close but have yet to ride away.

my advise would be to work on them early in your sesion before your legs get tired. (i never take my own advise, but might have to..)
and you have to want it bad enough that your willing to put it all together.

use the 2 second rule nick taught me this oneday when we were ridin cut out flatton off your edge for 2 seconds then throw ur trick because that is when your weight is most equally balanced and just do the same stuf as a normal shuv but spin it a little harder with ur back foot
