One of our good internet friends, Cassettewakeskates.com, is no longer with us. Let’s have a brief moment of silence……Ok good. Thomas Horrell reported that the website is not likely to be resurrected anytime soon, as he plans to take Cassette’s web presence exclusively to Myspace. Although there is no profile yet, he said, “All five of my friends are working on it.”

and they are currently working on there 06 line up.. most of the products will be sold internatinaly becuase they had some truble with stores not paying up

just hold on ppl there new stuff along with the new vid will be out soon !!!

they arenot sellin to board shops because they complain about warrentees and stuff. bi-levels break. its a fact of life. making them the same except unbreakable is impossible. if they were smart they'd use a concept similar to skateboarding. when a top deck breaks, buy a new one for like $50 just like a skateboard deck. the bottom deck and risers and hardwear will be like the trucks and wheels and will not need to be replaced often. yes its more expensive but its a price u must be willing to pay to get the feel of a bi.

canalskater, Yea they should really look into that top deck replacement idea, might be $100+ but it's better than buying a whole new one.

nottoldyet, what kenatic energy? well at least it will last longer than breaking after a few rides and won't be able to use it anymore.

i'm sure they did some changes on their 06 bilevels cause whats the point of releasing a new line of bilevels if it will break easily again and puts the company in danger for the 2nd time around. btw anyone here knows who are the cassette's team gonna be?

TheLeprechaun, Tampa Jimmie is right (about the concept), though I don't know that that project was going to happen the first season. But eventually, the parts were supposed to be sold separately, which is what would make that board attractive to some people--when you buy that new deck, it's almost like you're riding a new wakeskate.

Slapdown, flat decks don't even cost 75.00. I'd keep that in mind...

no it dosent, the whole point of the bi-level is the additional leverage the raised top deck provides.

well from what I heard the bis were made by a skateboard mfg

and well you can't expect a board made like a skateboard to really last in the water

anyway I hope Thomas will work something out and most of all get it right!! Wink

I'm not really getting into this, I would not take this thread too seriously, and I suggest that people simply wait to see what happens. Point being, when they're out, they're out.

Jboss, it's very rare to have a company sell direct if you have a strong list of retailers backing you. A brand needs the support of the retailers, and retailers don't like to compete directly with the brand (especially if they sell said product for a lower price). That's why cassette quit selling t's and shizzle on their site years ago.

"We've been playing around with hydrodynamic concepts for the last two years and figured out that it wasn't about using the surface of the water to get more pop, it was about using leverage between the boards and snapping the tail of the top deck onto the harder top surface of the bottom deck", quotes Bryan Dawley

[/b]jboss, we where both on the right page

Greg T, ??? The only other board I said I was gettin was an Integ, which I did. I've been wanting a Bi since they came out but I've never had the money and I was gonna buy one of a ws.com member but with all the problems of the old Bi (and a pricetag of $300 without shipping), I decided to wait and get the new Bi.
