Alright I need to know what is so great about these things. They look EXACTLY the same as my '02 Cassette. Why does everyone love these skates so much? Not trying to say anything bad about Oak, I really wanna know why they are so great.

maybe its the toughness of the skate which very hard to find on a wood skate..maybe thats why its called an oak..

yabu is completely corrrect, the boards are made to withstand session after session. That coupled with a really predictable ride with fins or finless make for a sick stick. Thats what the fuh is up with OAKS.

yeah oak is a metaphor for durability and only a roundhouse kick from Mr. Norris himself can damage an oak

Nah, I ran into Norris at the lake yesterday and cold beach slapped him. Knocked him the fuh out too. Oaks are stronger than Chuck.

The biggest difference is the shape of the edges. The Cassette are round and the Oak are square. Makes it feel toatly different in the water.

Also the Oak is heavier.
