they have gone downhill in a major way in my opinion.

where'd they go, BTW. i used to love their stuff. havent heard theur latest album though.

however they are another band thta had a kick ass first album, then each one after is a downgrade. bummer. Neutral

They have not fallen off. I just saw them in December with Thrice and Thursday and it was the best out of the 4 times seeing them. Chino's voice was more amazing amazing live than it is on CD. I really do love these guys. I cannot understand how anyone can say they have gotten worse. Each album is so unique and creative. Granted, everything they put out it usually takes me a few listens to warm up to it but thats how most good music is. "Needles and Pins" is a great track off the new s/t if anyone wants to see what they are up too. They always take about 3 years between CD's too because they are such perfectionist. Deftones will always be one of my favorites. I also hear that the Team Sleep CD will be coming out (finally) this year. I know it will be sweet action as well.
