I know I said I was done with this site but you guys are serioiusly
lame........ I cant believe that some of you would actually consider
re-cording astersk tonight and then putting it up for everyone here to
see.
How do you expect wakeskating to grow when there's theiving little
bastards like yourselfs doing this kind of s#it ????? I know you all
love
integrity wakeskates, Maybe you should look the word INTEGRITY up in
the
dictionary.

Please dont do this, Wakeskating is sooo small and stuff like this
only
hurts it. I cant beleive that Justin is cool enough to air it how he
is,
How would you like it if you put your heart into something just to have
it
exploited on the e-net by a bunch of degenerate underage a$$holes ???

Watch asterisk tonight and get stoked to go out and BUY the movie,
Something tells me there's going to be more to the dvd then what you
watch
tonight.

And like someone asked in the other post it is indeed a legal matter. So there is the legal matter right up there with the moral. You might think "everyone" does it and that it doesnt matter.. It does matter, big corporate cash whores might survive it, but small company's who do what they do out of passion and love for their "sport" you eventually put them out of business..

I also agree with Iamjesse. I thought of the morallity of posting my footage, yes I said my footage of the Toe Jam on here because, I met people this weekend who go every where to shot footage and get the word out of what we are doing. Now my footage is nothing compared to what we will see in the months to come of the Toe Jam. I give those guys mad props for the work they put out do make these movies. "In Its Travels" is one of the most impressing action sports videos let alone wakeskate videos , that I've seen. Then, I met those guys this weekend and saw the camcorder they used to shot it with, I give them guys mad props.
It empressed me how a guy with a beer in one hand and a camcorder in the other could get right done in the action and get his own footage. I could have got closer but, I was respecting the guys who was doing it for real, and hope none of those guys take offense of me posting it on the net I got a new camcorder and editing software couldn't help it.
If you like a video pass on the word don't steel it. You would not like it if you busted your a$$ to put out a video you are proud of and your money out of pocket and time and yes, time is money in the real world. If you are going to continue to be able to have the time and the money to do the things and to have things you enjoy.

nottoldyet, i agree with you too, im in that same position as a Cinematographer and Production owner, we put alot of work into what we do....nothin said, i dont want ppl just throwin our work around like its a pos, only if they buy it they can cus its theirs then

i didn't think anyone was going to record and post it, I thought they were just going to record it to watch at home since they won't be there for it or something. I am going to have it Tivo'd just cuz i won't be home.

Its different when your recording something off TV and when you go out and buy a video and then put it on the net. This is free on television so I see nothing wrong with recording it and putting it on the net for people who dont get that channel, the same people who are going to buy it still will.

Copyrights still exist even if it is on television. You can't put something on the web legally without permission from it's authors.

Putting something on TV does not make it public domain at all.

noone is selling pirated copies on the net, they are just putting it up for people who couldnt watch the premiere, people who are going to buy DVDs will buy DVDs, and people who steal movies will find a way to do it, wether or not people put it on the internet people are going to have the movie recorded on account of how it is being shown on TV.

jordan, fuel tv is an extra option, this means it costs extra to have it. the people who do not get this channel are not paying for it so it does not make it right for them to see it for free. afterall, anyone who sees this movie tonight is paying for it, just with a small monthly sum.

Everyone is freaking out about it getting leaked onto the net, when in my opinion if its put on TV for free, that kinda means they want it to be seen so its not a biggy if it goes on the net.

It's still not YOUR material to be distributing. Thus it is ILLEGAL to be distributing it. If people break piracy laws every day, that doesn't make it any less illegal.

Yeah, our posts were at the same time so I didnt see that, however people pay for that subscription regardless of what is being shown on TV that month. In my opinion if the movie producer is airing the video on TV the whole point of that is to get the word out so more people see it.
