Well, after my biteg that didn't really work out because the top deck wasn't concave enough, not enough kicktails, and the integ was too wide and caught in the water when edging.

I really didn't feel like chopping off the edges of it and decided that a drilled tolstoy was bad enough!!

Now looking through my decks I found my old 40" concave wood 484 !! Afro

Then I remember that topic about someone that did a bi using a very small flat deck and a skateboard deck, sorry but forgot the name Wink

Well, after a little googling I found this:

Width= 10-1/2" | Wheelbase=15" | Length=35" | Width=10-1/2"

And those are $15.95, I don't really expect it to last long in the water, but at that price it is worth a try. And maybe with some good sealing it can hold up for some time and retain it's pop ... More here.

It is going to be almost just as wide as the 484. Now I don't see the angle on the kicktails on that blank deck, but if they are *steep* enough it could work out nicely. And you can cut it to whatever shape you like!
I'll have a look at the skateshop here to see what are the largest decks he got or can get.

Then I think using some hard rubber as spacers could be nice and will maybe add to the pop. Or even better use truck spacers like those, but use two or three instead of one:

Vince I know Johan and I think I remember his DIY project.. he did a pink bi in it, but that's just a paint job if I remember well, I'll have a look anyway, thanks ^^

What do you guys think is the BEST way to seal up a deck? I know I need to first sand it real nice everywhere so the sealant can grip on the wood, but what's the best stuff to use?

After having a closer look at this I think that I am better off making a flat bottom deck from scratch (using WWSA method he posted here, pretty easy to do) and using that deck I posted about as a top if it looks allright... Next time I'm in the US I'll try getting one of those to see what they look like.

In the meantime I'll just work on making my last bi that is still new as close as possible to undestructible Very Happy

I'll sand it down a lot like loose almost a ply in the process, put carbon fiber on the edges so it wont delam or take in water as easily. carbon fiber squares where the *trucks* are and make new mounting holes that WONT split or take up water. And then use some fiberglass cloth bands on the angles of the kicktails of the top board. And I'll find some plastic/rubber spacers to replace the metal ones. And then seal it back up with the most waterproof stuff I can find that's still light...

So for now I'll update this topic with that first project: moding a bi to make it a light tank Afro
