If I owned a nice boat I would definitely buy one just to fool around on at the end of the day. I would probably buy a phase five just because they look pretty easy to maneuver around and are similiar to skimboard or maybe I would just use a skimboard. |

I tried a Shred Stixx at the local wake school last summer. It was surfboard shaped. Lots of fun, even in rough water. I bought an outboard boat at the end of summer. I won't be wakesurfing behind that, so I probably won't buy a board. I would like to try a Phase 5 though. Are they fun? |

bjr I think so. One of my friends who is pretty good at skimming just uses his skimboard behind the boat and prefers it to the wakesurf boards that hyperlite and lf make. |

phase 5 and zap are the same..id check out skim boards..the only difference between a skim board, and a wake skim board, is a very small fin. I just bought a skim board for 300 bucks...really nice board for ocean skimming and wave rideing..its called a slotstik slot vac..it has good reviews, and for the price its perfect...check out www.skimshop.com for skim boards id look at exile, zap, slot stik, and victoria...my main choices would be exile or slot stik though.... |

The Bug, shred stixx are THE best
warlock, if you are not so hot at wakesurfing i would highly recommend a bigger board, liquid force, inland surfer, anything but a hyperlite....i would not recommend a phase 5 because they tend to be smaller and harder to learn on |

it matters what you want to do..if you want to just surf the wake, get a wake surf board...the wake skim boards are made for tricks...shuv its, 180's 360's etc...i get bored with surfing the wake cause you need a huge wake to really move around..with a skim board behind the boat, you can do what ever you want |
