I'm with you guys, it's gotta be the original rowleys. I've had at least 5 pairs. it's all in the sole man. that off the wall sole is the shizzle. best board feel in the world. the downside to that is the heel bruises, but I could never skate anything else now. I hope they never stop making them. I love the crazy colorways too.

With all my shoes my sole always wears out. My current shoes now have no grip where the balls of my feet are due to walk the dogs and such.

I'm liking Saviers, they are simple yet effective and hold up quite well- I've had the same pair of Quimby 2's since August. Given, I skate mostly transition, which is pretty friendly for shoes, but I do some streety flippy rail crap every once in a while. The soles are still really nice and only one seam has started to tear in the toe from kickflips.

skate shoes made about 6-8 years ago were the best. original e's koston k1's and e's sal23's (now etnies) were best shoes i ever skated in. also can't go past axions. shoes are too fancy these days. i like them simple and light.

yeah and I think they are pretty durable....my Hukkum's I have had for awhile and they are still good shape, I have used them to skate and ride bike and still holdin up. I bought my Barons for 59.99 up in Canada....which i think is about $46 with 1.30 American exchange. I thought that was a pretty good deal

Actually etnies was the original company, they then formed es' and emerica and etnies became the shoes you could find at track and trail and other such stores in the mall.
the original sal's were the shizzle
