what was ur first thought when u saw a wakeskate or wakeskater riding?
what made u wanna ride to? what events led u to riding and being dedicated to the sport and love it so much u came onto this website becase ur now a wakeskater?

looked into kiteboarding last summer but the weather down here would only allow me to do it a few times a year so the next thing that caught my interest was wakeskating and here i am today.

I've always been interested in all board sports and wakeskating was next on my list. It's cool being part of a "newer" sport so it really appeals to me. Plus it's just so much damn fun.

ive been in watersports all 17.5 years of my life, and i had to change cus strapping it wasnt fun anymore and i wanted to start something new

one day my friend came up to me and was like dude you gotta try this, its like wakeboarding..................................and skateboarding. im like whoa man thats some trippy shizzle. then i tried it out and got addicted. since then wakeskating has taken over my life, many call me a junkie. i attend self help meetings every tuesday and thursday...

i saw an ad in wakeboarder with a guy wakeskating. I've skateboarded since i was in jr high, so wakeskating looked really cool to me. I bought a wakeskate and gave up wakeboarding completely shortly after.

all my friends wakeboarded when i was in a cast for 8 months. i got scared that when i got out of my cast and tried to get into boots that my ankel would break easy. so the next best thing at the time was wakeskating. went to the cable. got addicted. never strapped. im glad, Cool

I saw Thomas busting out w2w tricks on a flat wooden deck wearing soccer socks on Brandons Beaches old website. I built a wakeskate, and the rest is history.

I was taking wakeboard lessons & the instructor had me ride a skate to improve my edging. Haven't been strapped since. Sold my wakeboard stuff & now have a modest collection of wakeskates.

I saw some wakeskate pics in Wakeboarding Mag then i saw free4all or boombox and was completely blown away that it was possible to be riding across water doing skate tricks on a small wakeboard with grip. I had never seen a wakeskate in real life and built one in wood class. Now that was one halarious skate!!

thomas horrell doing a frontboard slide on some legde on the first wakeboard mag I ever bought... and daniell lovetts videos on here showed to me I could ride behind my piece of shizzle boat like he does..

it was a WBM cover back in 03

the first wakeskate i rode was one of the old hype foam "waterskate" 124 wakeboard skates...i really liked the flame graphic onit but it felt like riding a surfboard it floated so good...then i rode my skimboard around for about 2 months...i bought my first wakeskate(an 02 byerly sbg) and i still ride it today...i always talk about buying new wakeskates, but my byerly still rides ok and im real used to it. i admit i ride others skates like half the time (integs,omens,cassettes) too. i think ive been on this site since the beginning
