Grip, it feels more like a skateboard to me, plus i feel like i "stick" to the board better with grip. i've been skatboarding for 4 years now.

mine has foam, i have never been on grip, but i'm sure it's all personal preference. The foam sticks well, sometimes I feel too much. I am sure that when it gets worn I will just re-do it with grip.

i like the way that wakeskating "feels" better. It's kinda hard to explain what i mean by "feels" but once you get up, you'll know what i mean. On the other hand, skateboarding, to me, has its pros. You can go out any day basically, day or night, its not a pain if you fall on a skateboard, (falling on a wakeskate takes a few minutes before you can try again...) uh, i dont know. i like wakeskating better. Bring on the water!

our boat sucks and sometimes the spedometer doesn't work, but it's usually around 20-21 mph.

thats a very good question. i have no idea, my speedometer broke halfway through last season (right when i started wakeskating. I used to go about 22 with my wakeboard, and i know that i go slower than that on the wakeskate. 18 i would guess?

I honestly dont' know what a bay boat is, but I am almost always behind a boat. I'm sure either one will work. Jetskis are nice for rails, and they can pick you up faster, but you don't have the same kind of wake, so it's more tech, where it would seem w/ a boat it's more all aspects.

boats are easier to keep a consistant speed, but a ski is great if you have a good driver.

its cool, but there are many topics that you can search for. A lot of these questions are already asked. I honestly don't have enough experience to know what its like to ride without fins. i ride what i buy as of now, no alterations.
