I think its impossible to nollie without sticking your front end into the ater and totaly faceplanting. I think there should be a board with an extra like bump or something so that people can nollie without always faceplanting, think its possible?

Maybe it would work on a Gate, since it has a kicked nose. I'm not sure, though.

think about the concept of the nollie

this is what it might look like(dont you love my beautifully drawn example
you might get it if you like barely pop but otherwise it'd be impossible to get a good one.

yea, even with the gate. once you put your weight on the front of the board its going to go down into the water just as far as any other wakeskate, its just the tail will come up higher.

So could you half-cab a wakeskate then? That would screw up the wakeskate terminology pretty bad, since switch 180's are already called "half-cabs."

No, on a skateboard, a half-cab is a FAKIE 180 ollie (you use your foot that is normally the back foot to pop the tail/nose/whatever, so it actually looks like a nollie 180 to someone who doesn't know what stance you ride in.) If you do a switch 180 (just a 180 done in the opposite stance as you normally ride) it's just called a "switch 180"--no half-cab involved. The term "half-cab" comes from the caballerial, a trick Steve Caballero invented on vert like 23 years ago. A caballerial is a fakie 360 ollie, so a half-cab is a fakie 180 ollie. Snowboarders and wakeboarders just call any trick where you start switch and land regular a "half-cab" because with bindings, you don't really have to pop off of the nose or tail.
