I think the first wakeskate only contest was actually a cable event that took place at the OWC before the free4all premiere (or in conjunction with that premiere). I guess that was probably something like 03. I"m out of town right now, but if you want (like if you're really interested) I can scan a little thing from wbm and pm it to you.

The first wakeskate event sanctioned by the WWA was when wakeskating joined the gravel tour in 1998. There were still wakeboarders at that event, but you know, It's a big deal (or to me, at least) anyway.
