This might help you make more money.

You all need to present your boards in photos like the surf industry does. They show not only top and bottom but a side view of the board to illustrate rocker.

Now you say, well it's a 3 stage or a continous rocker. That means nothing to the newb. And all 3 stages are the same in theory but not in the practical sense.

I do not understand why one more pic can not be added to display your works of art.

I am not hatin, just making a suggestion.

Take a look at the link below for an example.

jacque_mehoff, oh the time that has been spent looking of a pic with concave and rocker details. I have been wanting to say that for a long time. But i don't think anyone that could really help with that, other than Schmaltz, looks at these forums.

Slapdown,

Thanks!

To drop 3 bills on a skate, I want to see what I am getting.

I don't think the cost is all that much more and should be easy to do on a website.

Schmaltz has great pics of the manufacturing process which I applaud.

The first skate I rode was a Cassette. After viewing their website, I couldn't tell what their decks were like especially the concave. Not many of my friends skate, so I have been limited to demos outside of the Kent monopoly. So I do my shopping online and here in these forums.

I am glad that at least one person sees the value in this.

Integ has the best pics so far out of all the skates out there IMO.

Yeah, i know what you mean about the manufacturing photos of the integs, but it would be a great thing if the companies would actually have their normal mock ups, and then a side view of the board when you would shop online for it. I know that the Cassette bi-levels on wakeworld.com did that but thats it. I remember when i first became interested in wakeskating and i wanted to check out the CWB "Deck 45" but i couldn't find any detailed pics of it ANYWHERE. i ended up getting a K Series and at the lonestar wakeskate jam at TSR i got to see the CWB deck in the shop... I am glad i got the K-39 instead Very Happy Laughing . But the whole online shopping process when looking for a new skate would be so much faster and easier if a concave/rocker revealing photo or graphic would be included in the mock-up.

Jaque, part of it will depend on where you look. The product catalogs I've looked through have pics that will show the shape of the concave and the base (with details like channels and such). I haven't checked out the websites, mostly because my dial-up makes me lazy and I only look for things that are absolutely necessary, like ebay deals and such (ha).

In my opinion, rocker pics aren't as crucial because they're some what standard. From what I've noticed, integrity and some of the older mutinys have a more unique rocker pattern, which is worth the detailed shot (I don't know the name for it, but I think it's three stage, and then the tip and tail kind of curve up a bit more). I think that might have actually come from an old rusty wakeboard shape (the seahorse) but i could be wrong.

From what i've read, rocker lines in surfing sound different than wakeskate rockerlines because they can be set back or forward, depending on the rider's style and performance characteristics. The only company I can think of that has (or had, whatever) a set back rocker is kampus, and their new decks aren't out yet. Other than that, I think they're all centered.

For me, the best shots would detail the concave, the base, and then a shot showing the edge and rail, because there are more differences from company to company when it comes to rail shape (ex. stepdowns, variable edges, sharper rails on most composite decks vs. rounded rails on most wooden decks, etc).
