How many people do you think are now wakeskating in the US?

This topic came up yesterday and I could not even guess.

4000... probably more... but too many people still dont even know what it is... i have to explain it alllll the time

Me too. I was guessing less than 5000. Maybe more tried it, but as far as only skating I think 4000 is a good guess.

compared to the population of the US thats not many people, but a lot to us.

thats a crazy ratio tho, 1 in 2 wakeskaters have registered on here if its 4000. that'd be a crazy army

I don't know that every single person on here wakeskates. Some could have just crossed over from another message board (simply to chat)...and a number of our registered users haven't even posted on here.

But this is a really good question...like actually putting a number on this is crazy.

I was thinking about wakeskates sold as some indication, but then you see a guy that has 13 wakeskates in one photo and that theory is now bunk.

ok well there are people that use skatedecks and go out on the water behind a boat wiht that and dont know what there is an actual board for that but 4000 sounds good

i know of at least 500+ people in the central texas area that own wakeskates. that doesnt include dallas or houston.

my guess is there are at least 5,000 wakeskaters (regular participants or not), maybe more.

id say 4000 reg skaters(including strappers) and 7000 people all-together including regulars and people whove tried to get up

i think everybody is a little bit wakeskater, but only about 4000 have actually come out of the closet and addmitted to being a wakeskater.

Id like to change my 7000 to 10,000. If you think about it, 1000 people from your state have almost guaranteed been exposed to wakeskatin in one way or another and theres 50 states. I can pretty much guarantee Alaska isnt 1000 strong lol
