February Riding

We went ridin yesterday for the first time since October while we have a break in between cold fronts. Air temp. was about 68 but the water was much colder. I bought some 3mm neoprene socks from a dive shop, feet stayed warm the whole time. Here's some pics.

hey man, you're from new orleans? i live about 40 min. from there... we should ride some time. i need someone with enough balls to get in the water. my schedual's always open.

soy escuala, Im from Mandeville but I go to school at LSU now so I'm In Baton Rouge. Are you still ridin? and if so where at? My boats on the fritz and we went w/ my friend who just came in from Houston. If you have a boat though I'm down whenever.

soy escuala, hey man, heres an idea, get your ass up to austin! There are plenty of poeple up here to ride with. Boat ski cable and well you cant pass on the you know what!
And have yall decided on h town yet??? I think even if yall dont drift we should still go ride ski and take the you know what!

The water was VERY cold. I had neoprene shorts on and a wetsuit top w/ neoprene socks but my hands and head were Freezing

rhodester, My friend lives in BR too and that's prolly where our ridin spot's gonna be. You think I'll be able to ride with just boardsports and vest? By able I mean physically be able to ride in the cold without any problems cuz it's supposed to get even colder this weekend.

jboss, my roomate rode in boardshorts and vest w/ a neoprene tank top under the vest but he only took one set consisting of like 2 min. which ended w/ him feeling dizzy and ready to puke. I was able two take two sets for a total riding time around 15-20 min. so I would def. recommend putting something on at least under your vest to keep your chest warm. It all depends one how much u wanna ride.
