My friends casstte screws lay flush with the top of the board. Well I going riding tomorrow So I decided to put the fins on my LF concave 40 skate. Turns out the screws dont lay flat on the board. Did this happen to anyone else? How do you fix it. I guess Im ok with riding finless tho...

ya this came up. ok two things to do. one dont worrie about it cuz its not goin to do anything to affect u unless its really stickin out. or u can take a sertin screw bit that drills a hole and also make a cut out in the wood for the head of the screw

Parky, if the bolt sticking out came in contact with your skin it would hurt. But you could do what parky said like do a tiny little clearance hole thingy for the bolt to sit in, I would be worried about the seal though. Maybe you could put some of your own seal in there.

I havent ridding it yet. But I've many times landed on the board with my knee or hip, on w2w stuff. and Would hate to land on a screw sticking up...

no i dont think so their really isnt any sealant in the fin whole anyway becasue if their is the bolt itself would scrape it off by screwing it in i do it to mine and i dont have any problems

which leads me to another qeustion. How long does it take for a board to get water logged? can you tell? And are wakeskates like skateboards, that they can acually lose their "pop" or "snap"

Tyler*moore, im not sure how long it would take for it to become water logged, but I would think it would snap before then. But yeah your skate will snap lose pop after a while. All losing pop is when it becomes to flexible to get any spring out of the board (dunno if you wanna call it that). And eventually it will snap.
