What street is this?

I guess I won't believe it (or dont' want to believe it) until I hear something "real." All I can say is that would be f-ing odd that he'd leave such a strong program after getting a pro model. Plus on hype, you have to fight with like eight other wakeboarders to get wakeskating coverage. That's actually why I feel bad for scott and brian, and why I think it's cool that thomas had a couple of shots of scott in "sfumato." Also, if it were true I'd think there would have been more gossip on the messageboards, especially if aaron still works at the wakeboard camp (because people would see what he's riding). One other reason I'm leaning towards "no" is because I don't see how his contract would expire right when he's getting a pro model. Usually these things are taken care of before the signature gear starts rolling in (unless he somehow got out of his contract, or thomas trusted him). Well, whatever the situation may be, good luck to aaron.

Sorry for the jumbled paragraph.

EDIT: You know, I'm just going to say this: I don't believe it. I don't know what street pat is on that he's hearing this, but it doesn't seem realistic to me. They had daniel lovett and brandon thomas rocking their s hit all summer and basically alluded to the fact that they'd sign brandon because of his tantrums (heh, but he seems cool, that's just a joke). Then they'd just bail and pursue Aaron? that's my take on it, and if I end up being wrong, so be it.

electricsnow, well thats kind of what people said when Tim Kovanich (spelling) went to Liquid force when he had a pro model and a part in Sfumato. I think maybe it may be true bc i think Hyperlite may gave him a really good offer and i think Hyperlite want to have more wakeskaters on their team like they sighned Brandon Thomas and are probally going to sigh Daniel Lovett and Reed is a really good rider and they may want him, but i dont know.

isnt hyperlite starting a wakeskate branch kinda thing? or is that something that i just heard around somewhere? well anyways if they are starting a wakeskate only company then this could make since beucase theyd want some sweet riders on there team. the only thing that doesnt make since is that reed has a contract and a promodle and all that with cassette.

That's a good point; I forgot all about that little snot. Well, if this is all true, then I feel awful for thomas because getting kicked in the nuts twice in one year and then being left with pro-less pro models would suck. And from a personal stand point, I would actually be a little disappointed. It doesn't have to be about money and people can ride what they believe in (Cassette WILL be the biggest thing for wakeskating. It's about the marathon rewards, not instant gratification). I guess an example is shaun murray because he's had higher offers from other companies throughout the years, but he's been with hype since day one. And they've (hype) had their competition in the market, it took time to get where they're at today. Also, cassette did a lot for those two (timmy in particular).

Now, about this other hype stuff, I take it it's all personal speculation on your part? The only person they hinted at signing was brandon (I think that's his name). It was never definite that they'd sign daniel, he just had the right people helping him out.

The only thing i could think of would be better pay. I remember on the channel fuel when they had the the top 10 wakeskaters and they interveiwed other wakeskaters aaron reed was the only one from cassette who didn't say anything bad about grubb. So maybe he was did that because hyperlite was trying to work a deal with him.

If all of this is true I certainly hate it for Thomas and Cassette. But I'm sure that he will rebound from the loss of those riders.

Any hey,,,, that means Cassette would have open slots on their team Wink
