I am going to get a motor from somewhere (dunno where yet) and 5 of my friends in the auto class at my school are going to build me a winch, they said they would gladly do it, just as a cool project. how big of a motor should I use, and how should I design it??

thanks

Vince

Make sure it's 4WD. I was on a routine skate at the Wickenbowels lake down there in Florida. The dumb ASS operating ye fair wench hadn't a clue what he was doing. He set me up w/ a wench that had popped zuppiters. At first I was hoppin' mad, and was even thinking of starting a physical altercation. After the rage subsided I took out a few of the ball bearings I keep in my pocket, strapped them to a block of C-4 and put it in his oatmeal. Point of the story:

You need 4WD.
