Aright, things are movin pretty fast in my life right now, I got to finish up exams, switch schools in Jan. and reunite with my friends, move back to my house to finish building it (2-3 months it'll be done). With all this going on, today I started thinkin about next season and what to do cuz this last season I didn't ride as much as I liked to and I want to ride as much as I can thus year.
I need to know quite a lot of things so I guess I'll number them:
1) I'm thinkin of getting a wetsuit so I can start riding earlier. I was just lookin for one and they seem to range from $89 to $399. The one I looked at was $99. You think that's good enough quality.
2) The boat I have now (needs to be fixed though) takes a lot of gas. We have to fill it up usually every time we go out, which is about $30 (before all the gas price rises). Do jetskis use less gas than boats do? Cuz I was thinkin of puttin a down payment on one in Mar.-Apr. and just paying it off over the summer. Is it even worth it or should I just stick with the boat.
3) Lack of a driver. My dad was the driver this summer, which is why I didn't ride that much since he works so much (that along with gas prices). I have only managed to get one of my friends into wakeskating who is willing to do it all the time. Even if I get another friend into it, we wouldn't all get to ride much have to take turns.
Any help appreciated. |

1) wetsuits help a lot when the air is cold as well as the water, should buy one
2) jetski takes less gas...
3) hah don't know what to say there... _________________ when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

1) got to wetsand.com and check out the ripcurl core fireskin. If your like me,6'0 and 148lbs (wetsuit chart says i should be 185+), the ripcurls have medium talls. They are amazing wetsuit, unbelievably warm. I rode in 50 degree air and 50 degree water and i felt like i was ridin in texas in the summer.
2)Jetskis def take less gas, yet there is a lot less room on them along with several other drawbacks. But yes def worth the gas. If youre real concerned on gas by a 4stroke.
3)When i ride in the summer, usually there about 7 people that go.......so you might have to deal with 3 people Anyway, chances are one of your friends will get tired and want to take a break which means you ridin more.
Glad to hear your house is being finished too _________________ They call me Dr. Jones

think about it this way if you buy a jet ski that's a lot of money you could put towards gas so it would probably take forever to really break even between the two. |

1. yea i live in florida and still own a wet suit.... although i only really need it for a month
2. hmmm if its money ure worried about id say stick with the boat... just get more friends and split gas... more friends the less gas you have to pay for, and it solves ure driving problem
3. drag ure lazy ass friends out there... its like a drug once you take them a couple of times theyll be hooked just like the rest of us. _________________ Nothin better than Wakeskating and Motocross!

integrity640, I'd start pumpin some iron if that was my case and start some endurance training. I would definately be one of the last ones to come out of the water. My first day of this past season was in early February with no wetsuit and that was my second day of riding ever. _________________ I like to choke when my team needs me the most, no Romo. |

1)wetsuits are great... you might want to consider a dry suit and get in an extra 2 months of riding.
2)i have a boat aswell, and just recently took out a loan to buy myself a seadoo. Its a two stroke so im not to sure if it will be much better on gas. I think ill be doing alot more riding having my own seadoo this season, its alot easyer to tow to different lakes and what not.
3) make more friends i guess, i know its annoying to drive a bunch of kids when you just want to ride but it makes for some good times. |

just make sure the wetsuit has flat seams, most namebrand suits will do fine. get a full suit too, shorty's suck |

that wetsuit looks good. i bought a ripcurl fireskin near the end of last year, and rode into november(38 degrees). the 3/4mm neoprene is what makes them warm. |

1) wetsuits come in different thickness's, genrally cheaper wetsuits are thinner ie. 2/3 mm and as well a more expensive suite has sealed seams which also make a difference in the warmth.
2) Boats have bigger wakes, isn't that half the fun?
3) Tell your dad you like to hang out on the street corner doing drugs cause when your not wakeskating there is nothing else that interests you..... a sure way to make him take you out more often! |

Is this a good enough suit. Oh, the water here usually only gets as cold as 65-60 degrees. |
OMFG! thats about as hot as the river gets here in the middle of summer!

I swear to god, you kids have no clue what winter is!! | No they don't have a clue. Over here we have like one foot snow and probably won't be able to ride until late may. And then you have to wear like a semi dry suit to not freeze to death when you ride. _________________ Jag heter Fredrik |
