I dont know anything about that camera... but it depends on if it has some sort of output on it, most film camera's do not have a built in vtr option. So you would have to source it out to someone to have the film digitized, thats not cheap just so you know.
If you arent trying to make a "film looking" movie i would just say step it up and buy a quality miniDV cam, its ALOT cheaper and film really isint for the the light at heart. It takes alot to shoot film and quite a bit of manual camera experience...
Sounds to me like you are looking for a cheap way to shoot video, if thats the case you will hate a film camera... _________________ arson-wake.com |

Thanks SleuCrew. I will be taking a Video Foundations class next year, so I will be able to use some really nice digital cameras for the whole semester. I think that shooting Super 8 is out of the picture, although it would be really cool to get into. _________________ Northwest Riders ◙ |

Film is fun, and i really enjoy shooting it... but it is also comes at a price. I primarily shoot with a Panasonic DVX-100s and shooting in their 24p mode replicates that "film look" If you have seen the TV show Laguna beach on mtv "i know its gay" they shot most of that tv show on a DVX-100a and Chase used the DVX-100 to shoot most of the video in PrePop if you have seen that.
Save your money and buy a quality 3 chip DV camera and start shooting come home plug it into your puter and fire away, you will have endless fun and wont cost you a million dollars to learn. _________________ arson-wake.com |
