Hey everyone. I've been wakeboarding for a couple years and want to get into wakeskating. How tough is it compared to wakeboarding? Getting up and stuff? Any board recomendations - thinking of a hyperlite catalyst 112. Thanks.

well. its probably the hardest sport on the planet, we've already had a couple people on the site commit suicide..but really. the board probably at the moment wont matter too much so i wouldnt spend big money on a first one. just see if you can borrow one from someone for a while or if you can pick one up for a reasonable price. i personally love wakeskating cause its one of the closest things to surfing. i dont mind wakeboarding and i still strap one on once a month but the skate feel just compares to surfing so much and considering the waves in florida suck it fills that empty part in my heart Smile

I'm in your position as well ...although im one step ahead of you, Ive recently bought a skate and have been out a couple times. Getting up is not any harder than a wakeboard and you get up the same way. Once you start wakeskating ...your hooked.

The prices on the site are wrong but if your interested let me know im 100% posotive that we can get you a sattelyte cheaper then you could get a scape, And you'll also be buying some street cred with everyone who is a "real" wakeskater.
