Why are all the wakeboarding magazines carrying all these wakeskate photos? It doesn't bother me it's just something my brother mentioned because he is into wakeboarding and he gets alliance and wakeboarding magazines and 1/2 of the pictures in there are all wakeskating. Rolling Eyes

why does meghan mcneil not have the bottom of her bikini on in the new buyers guide of the magazine? and if she does the rope handle hides it perfectly.(either way its........mmmmmhhh).

1/2 the pics are wakeskating? That is quite an exaggeration...quite possibly the exaggeration of the year.....

As for megan mcneil, she's taking the "female crediblity movement" back a good ten years....

Yea there's no way half of the wakeboard mag pics are wakeskating.

I can tell you that with this last buyer's guide, the percentage was about 10% (slightly less, actually). And that included the pictures of wakeboards and other stupid things. Seriously,there's hardly anything in there at all. Alliance is probably a slightly different story because they aren't afraid to acknowledge wakeskating and the fact that it's dope....

well actually if my recent calculations are right the amount of wakeskating pictures in wakeboarding mag is 29.875631452 percent i am pretty sure that is correct.

im not arguing to say its 1/2 but is pretty damn close.. i like wakeskating more than wakeboarding but it was just a topic to see if i was the only one who noticed it.

Oh no, I'm not arguing, either. But it's kinda hard to see what percentages of wakeboard/wakeskate images WBM has when it's mostly ads these days...

freerider4, are you sure that was the most recent mag? I counted 16 pages of wakeskating (I had a typo in my previous post. I meant that I counted all of the wakeskate pages in the buyers guide, as in the list and prices) out of 168 pages in tota. 28. whatever percent you had was more like an alliance percentage. Regardless, it's not as much as people make it out to be.

I don't know if anyone here gets pat mccarthy's wakeboarder.com e-mails, but he was talking about his response to the "losing the love" letter and one thing people disliked about the mags was all of the wakeskating, or there was too much wakeskating--something like that (I guess people were disappointed that too many rails were being featured as well). Well, that tells me that wakeskating isn't as popular as I thought it was, but there are still people that appreciate it (especially with the response to "sfumato"). Despite the majority's reaction, I think this is THE prime time to be involved with wakeskating. Since it isn't the "cool" thing to do (well, I guess it depends on who you ask. I'm sure some people think they're cool because they wakeskate) you're going to have more people that are legimately stoked on it and are sincerely happy to be a part of it. Plus it's f-ing cool to see what's going to happen, especially with the unknowns or whatever you want to call them--aron gore, and I'd count you too, kyle. There are others, but those are two examples. Oh yeah, I'd have to throw greg in there because he just stuck a varial flip.

But I guess the latest, most coolest thing to do is wakesurf. I didn't hear any complaints about that--plus, they even have their own mag.

Well, your sarcasm was actually fairly accurate. Seriously, I was trying to figure out if you were joking or not, but you seemed so confident with your answer....I had to believe you!
