Okay i know there are alot of people out there in the same boat as me, pissed off that Cassette released this amazing new board called the bi-level only to discover that their new $300 dollar toy is now a useless, delamed, waterlogged piece of crap. When i got my bi-level i origanaly had a lf impulse that cracked after 1 ride. LF replaced it and so i decided to see if my local shop would let me trade it in towards a bi-level. They did and from that day forward i was as happy as could be. Well i then rode it once and guess what the board started to delam badly. 2 rides or so later the board begins to suck in alot of water and now is double the weight. If that wasnt bad enough i decided to throw the fins on the board, well i got one fin on only to relise that the front fin holed had been not properly drilled and the second fin was not going to mount. After countless emails to cassette each time being patient and understanding to what they were going through i have no real promise that i will recieve a new board and now the summer is comming to an end fast. Ive been emailing since early may and they havent done crap and im fiznackling tired of it. If they cared about the coustumers they would atleast say im sorry we cant warantee it, or we can send you a different board, after all this time nothing. SO THOMAS IF YOUR READING THIS CAN YOU PLEASE GET THE BALL ROLLING AND TELL US WHAT WE ARE TO EXPECT BECAUSE WHATS GOING ON NOW IS bulljive! LF HAD ME BACK IN BUISNESS WITHIN A WEEK, YOU HAVE HAD 3 MONTHS, PLEASE GET YOUR shizzle TOGETHER. If anyone else feals the same, voice your opinion. _________________ oh great now i have ink all over the screen |

everybody is always like "support rider owned companies" and they hate conglomerates. ever thought that those conglomerates got to the point theyre at by being the best and having good customer service. i dont hate ROCs, i just dont know why people hate conglomerates. _________________ I like to choke when my team needs me the most, no Romo. |

Thre are some cases with conglomerates where costumer service isnt the greatest, and this is a case with a ROC where it isnt the greatest, but I am sure they will help you out.

People dont hate them, some think that companies that focus on just wakeskates come out better quality.
Sick as$ board or no sick as$ board, conglomerate or not... just support the sport |

heh i resurfaced my own board and it is fine. DIY bitches
its easy once you see the exposed wood start to appear on your board sand the entire thing down and put new sealant of your choice on _________________ "That Hansel is so hot right now"

Catalyst, Hey you dont have an idea of how hard Thomas is working on sending bitchin kids like you perfect replacement boards. The reason you didnt get a board right away because they had to reproduce the new batches, if you got the board right away it would have done the same thing (delam or break). _________________ CASSETTE |

Conglomerates are the devil... I rode the byerly last summer. the sidewall blew out and the grip was falling of in no time... I sent it back and the filled in the hole and left my crappy grip... warranty my ass!!! Support rider owned! the bi levels are a cool idea, but if you were expecting it to be bombproof you bought the wrong board to begin with... Thomas pretty much invented wakeskating as we know it today... and he is having problems this year....and a bad year last year...
I emailed him about it and he said there gonna have a solid board nexr year. I dont think wood is the way to go anyways... good feel, short life... |

i mean really how many times did Cassette test the "production quality" original boards ? did they not even try a production model for themselves? if you can slam tricks like theyre doing you would think that a production board would have feel apart in minutes. if regulars are falling apart after two rides? no?
now this is my own opinion and not fact but.......
companies that build skates with a phone and computer (ie; boards contracted by other board manufactuers and put their names on them) can run into MAJOR problems because they dont really see to much of the boards at all. The boxes of units just go straight from the skateboard manufacturers right to the wakestore shelves with some ones name on it. my guess is that cassette did not try to many off the "production skates" enough.... or they realized it too late after enough of them were made and just to get the ball rolling were still distrubuted just to be relaced in time with a new deck. just my opinion though. _________________ Never, never, never, never give up

well here's my view...its all about priorities. if your priority is to be out on the water rather than support _________ company, then buy a different skate. if you wanna support _________ company more than you wanna ride (on another company's skate) then quit your bitching and keep waiting.
i know this whole deal is shtty, and im in sort of the same predicament as you. i tried to put in an order through the shop i work at for a board for my bro. its been on backorder since march, and thomas evidently hasnt replied to any of the emails we've sent him. ive even gone as far as contacting other retailers just to see if they had anything in stock, and for the most part they havent.
so in conclusion you can either shut up and wait, or buy a different skate. _________________ facebook.com/TheLiquidPlayground

I understand that they are running into many different problems, and some of them I can understand... So I patiently wait for my replacement. But still if people start bitching about cassette they had it coming.
As devotid said, I doubt they tested the production models... Or if they did then they don't really give a rats ass about their customers
and this is from someone that thinks bi levels are great deck, the first production batch was just half done _________________

Re-entry, trust me this is the first time i have bitched, I have nothing but respect for thomas and what he is doing. I have been chatting with him for a bit before all of this and he even sent me a free tshirt for being curtious by answering a question he had on one of his online blog things. The only reason i wrote that is because i would like a final answer as to what will happen as i know the second batch is out now. I even asked if he would send me a 41 4trac instead as i knew those were for sure done, but hey guess what no reply after 2 weeks. I loved the bi when i first rode it and would like a replacement, as that so much to ask when the product you saved to buy craps out? Thomas must be doing his best as his ideas ar amazing but when you think about it is it really that hard to take 1 minute of your day to answer a "bitching" kids question (as you stupidly said)? I dont think so.... _________________ oh great now i have ink all over the screen |

its not bitching, when its a legitimate complaint 3 months is rediculous, and you know what I think if somebody was really smart they would post an explanation here I know somebody visits here, b/c hes posted here before, b/c somebody who is somewhat of a godfather of our sport is seriously effing up his rep by ignoring people and having what as near as I can tell is poor customer service, so that being said. . . Im not buying a bilev, and the shop I used to work at wont carry them, b/c we got no response to several emails and phone calls we made to the rep and the company itself about placing an order, so if Cassette has another bad year they are doing it to themselves this time, it sucks but alot of you sheeps need to face facts _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

The 06 skates will be flawless, the replacements are almost to all shops. I know Boardstop already has them. I am in the same situation as all of you guys, but I think I am going to trade my bi-level in for the 06.. _________________ CASSETTE |

I got my warrantied replacement the other day. It was a rough day at work, and the office called, "you got a box up here, it's a wakeskate or something." I bought a 4-trak to ride in the meantime or as a back-up skate. Anyway they sent me a top deck and a bottom deck. It was enough for me, kickflip, stoked. Hang on to your hardware. Be patient, Thomas Edison didn't start mass producing light bulbs right away. _________________ dbanana wrote:

Cassette is handling all warranties, so shops won't be issued replacement decks. We did get some more Cassette decks in, but the only Bi-levels we got were a few 40". |
