No, i didn't get a bi-level, an integ, or a Nautique (boy that woulda been nice). Nope, nothing like that.
Saturday was my 18th birthday and the day was going great. My band, Something Different, played for about a good 2 hours in front of about 30 people and quite honestly we kicked ass in my opinion. So afterwards we all went out riding, im talkin two boats full to the max. I went first and was having a terrible set. it took me 4 tries just to land a ollie b/s 180, which is normally the first trick i pull every time i ride and i always land it. so after i finally landed it, i went on riding and things started shaping up, i even got a lipslide to 270 shuv out first try. However, then came my major downfall.....i tried a w2w 180. I have landed 3 of those in my life, but have apparently lost them because its been a good 2 weeks since i last landed one. Well, i went for it, lost my footing mid air and ended up losing the board. It woulda been nice if it woulda gone in front of me, but no, it went behind me, landed on water and continued moving until it nailed me in the back of the head.
This wonderful collision gave me a one and a half inch long gash across my scalp that i had to go to the hospital that night to get stapled back together. So 3 hours, 5 staples, and some Sonic later, i finally got to go back to my party. Luckily, no concussion or even black outs. It coulda been much worst and i thank my lucky stars it wasnt. I have to wait another 12 days until they take out the staples and then i can go back skatin, so thats a little bit of a bummer, but it gives me more time to play with my new iPod.
So there it is, i got to start off my adult life by being able to sign off on my own hospital papers.
Happy skatin... _________________ R.I.P. Jim Taylor

| That sucks man, I always worry about my board hitting me so I try to put my hands up over my head to stop the board just in case everytime I fall until I can get a helmet. |
