has anybody ever seen one of these things? i wonder if the current is fast enough to float a wakeskater...tie off a rope and practice in your own home!

i was recently on a plane (United) and was looking through SkyMall and saw one of those in there and instantly wakeskating came to mind. if it was longer and wider with maybe some padding on the tops and sides you might be able to tie a rope to the side and shred if they made them powerful enough..

one of my friends got one a few years ago and i instantly thought of wakeboarding (i hadnt seen the light yet) but theres almost no way those things can pick someone up unless HIGHLY modified.

think about it.... that is for swimmers who swim like 10?? mph and wakeskaters go at least 17 or 18 so that right there means the water would have to move around there but if you could get it fast then itd be sick

you could definately mod it and put a more powerful engine in it and somehow increase the amount of water that moves per second...you may need to upgrade the size of the jets or something

TYLER**, already looked into it, my friend has one his grandparents gave him, it would need like a friking serious motor to pus a wakeskater, and then itd just shoot all the water out of the spa, its a neat concept but almost impossible to mod a current spa, youd need a spa built from the ground up, and I am not tackling that lol

I tought of that for a loooooong time Laughing

And came up with the same conclusion as Kento... You need a way to get the water from the back of the pool to where it shoots at from. Or it will be emptied pretty soon lol

You could maybe also fix a regular outboard engine on the side of the pool and have it make a wake Laughing prolly won't work since most of the wake is made by the hull of the boat Smash

it would suck tho. even if the water were goin fast enough...it would be like riding in the prop wash.

stompin9s, have you ever seen those water fountain shows? where the water seems to jump in perfect form? well you could do the same thing for the neverending pool. you'd have to have a gigantic water pump, or more likely multiple pumps and then a water filter (something built with tons of small tubes for the water to pass through) to force all the water molecules to move in the same direction, making the water flow smoothly.

this reminded me of the synthetic surfing waves ive seen on fuel tv and in endless summer two. they blast tons of water at a wall that is shaped like a breaking wave creating a surfable wave.

hey i have an idea. you could take the upgraded jets you were gunno put in the pool. but attach them to the end of yuor dock. that way the water never runs out and you dont need a pwc cause you can just tie off to the end of your dock and skate all day. mabye?
