Lake TOHO???

So here is a question for all of your florida kids... My chick and i have been talking about buying a house in Florida and we found one that we are quite fond of.

But... I dont know a damn about the lake that its on, its on lake Toho in Kissimmiee sp?. From my understanding they drained part of the lake to clean it up and in the pictures of the house you can see the water is about 20ft away from the dock... but they said that the rain waters should have it back up to its normal height soon.

SO, what do you guys know about this place? good water? or what? The more details the better.

This is crazy. I live about 10 minutes from where you are talking about. That lake SUCKS. The only reason people go on it is for fishing. Its full of weeds and alligators and the water is nasty as hell. Your best bet would be to move into the saint cloud area. Theres soo many houses you won't have any trouble finding one. I'm sure you know this but waterfront here is a shitload. So be prepared. Our neigherbors sold there 800 sq ft house on 0.5 acres for 320,000.

Anyways If i were you i would check out houses on the Alligator Chain of lakes. Yes I know that sounds bad.. but we rarely see gators here. I live on a lake in this chain, Lake Lizzie, and its pretty much the most popular riding spot in this area.

Need anymore info just ask! I would be stoked if you moved here, I'd have someone cool to ride with that isnt an hour away. Laughing

I see that, But I bet thats one nice ass condo in a nice ass town. My house is 2200 sq ft on .5 acres, and we could sell it for 700,000. Laughing

Its not bad, it has a 2 car attached garage and is in a nice little community. The neighbors are all pretty cool, but I am never home so it doesnt matter. Laughing

Well the deal is my chick is pretty much in love with this house... and its not like budget shopping. The house is 850k

But anybody actually know MORE about THIS lake?
