Has signed me!
haha jk.
But seriously, I was at Performance the other day checking out the wakeskates, and I was reading the descriptions of the wakeskates. I think I might have brought this up before or maybe someone else did, but I'd like to discuss it again. Something they say really confuses me. Check it for yourself.
| Quote: | | We’ve been making wood concave boards for years and have always wanted to integrate some key design features that we thought would dramatically improve the pop and overall feel of the boards. After years of trying, we realized that our goals would be unattainable using wood. Thus… the release of our compression molded wakeskate…The Armada. |
| Quote: | | While some manufacturers have strayed from the true skate feel and completely abandoned wood boards, we’re continuing to follow the path of what we believe truly works. Our wood concaves have set the standard in high performance wakeskates for years. Our 2005 wood concaves are more responsive, pop better, and most of all… feel better than they ever have. We’ve made slight changes to the shape, added a variable edge, and put a bit of concave and shape in the bottom. These subtle, but major changes will make anyone a true believer in the wood concave wakeskate. Ride one for yourself and see what we’re talking about. |

Most sales copy is hyperbole and should be taken that way, but if you read the copy on the LF skates, it is really straight forward with no contradiction what so ever.
Basically, they wanted to do some things with a board and after trying to do it with wood, they realized they couldn't. Thus they made one board that is not wood. All the others are wood, so they did not completely abandon wood boards. |

I found a concave wood wakeskate in a shop close to my cottage. I think it was like 115$ canadian and i'd never heard of the company. One of the employies told me is was a small divison of LF. The board was all black except for something written in red on the bottom that i cant remember and probobly a 42. Does anyone know what kind of skate it was?

Any company that will warantee their wooden skates for a whole year after purchase is ok with me! My impulse, which I love by the way, had a tiny crack on the side and they gave me a new one no questions asked My broken bilevel on the other hand is still sitting in my room collecting dust Hooray for LF!!! |

JB_CANSKATE, For some reason i think 484 had a all black deck, and well they bought LF's old molds and produced a few decks before they went under... thats the only thing that comes to my mind. _________________ arson-wake.com |

| The integ feels like a feather compared to the impulse. Not better, not worse...just much lighter. |

on the warranty thingy, so like if a ply starts to come apart or even a little crack and they will replace it?? probably the second you hit a rail the warranty is gone though |
