i only like foam on my butter 42... but i think tape is the best...sometimes foam seems to absorb pop.... u can get scraped up a lil with the tape tho... if you do go griptape i would prefer jessup found in any sakte shop... unless your board is already equiped with tape from the manufacturer.... _________________ nose blunts niggguuuuuhhhh.... |

hUrLeYgIrLy6810, there are tns of topics on this and htis is what i say everytime
i prefer adn ride foam but here are the pros and cons of each
foam- pros- grips better then griptape, does not tear youre skin when you fall on it and also it obsorbs teh landing abit on harder landings
cons- less of a skateboard like feel, some poeple say it absorbs the pop, and wears out faster then griptape, some people complain of it being to high above the board
griptape- pros- more skateboard like feel, does not wear out as fast, more feel of the board since you are closer tot eh board
cons- tears youre skin, looses a little bit of grip when it becomes wet, and does not girp as well as foam _________________ You only live life once so live it to the fullest

| Grip is a little easier to move your feet around on the board, like if you landed a trick and your feet aren't in a good position you can shift them around easier on grip than on foam. IMO foam can feel kinda sticky, where grip provides traction without feeling sticky. Probably the best thing to do would be ride a skate with grip and one with foam (if you have access to these) and see which one you like. |

gate-rider, Have you considered that MAYBE, Hurleygirl is frickin new to this site and hasn't noticed or been told of the search button yet??? I know i didnt read that forum new post thing when i first started posting here...sorry moderaters, it's just boring stuff to read.
And to Hurleygirl, use grip tape, and you could always buy a board that has foam on it. Try it, and if you dont like it, rip it off and put some tape on it. _________________ "On the moon, nerds get there pants pulled down and they are spanked with moon rocks."

hUrLeYgIrLy6810, I like grip its much better, you may get some grip burn from time to time, but it just feels better imo, and I have ridden foam and grip for a loooooooong time _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

have you ridin a griped board before? It's your own prefrence jakedickson, but i love riding grip tape, it may hurt a lil more but its way more traction for your feet. _________________ "On the moon, nerds get there pants pulled down and they are spanked with moon rocks." |

well use whatever tape you want. use a hairdryer to head up the adhesive and peel off the foam. i hope that helps a bit _________________ "That Hansel is so hot right now"

| i had a similiar question when i got my skate and people said to get the foam off just heat it up some how...i heard everything from sitting it out in the sun, or using a hair dryer, anythig to get the glue under the foam to liquefy. then just pull it slowly starting at a corner. |
