i went out friday night and had a great ride and right before i was about to go in i went to do a 360 shuv it and landed one foot on one foot off and did the splits and felt a huge pop behind my leg. luckily i didnt tear it, but it killed any chance of riding for probably the next week, im such a gimp now. How am i suppose to learn to be consistent on that trick when that stuff happens? its the second time ive done it, just the first one wasnt bad.

Just out of curiosity, how many people actually stretch before they ride? It probably seems like a wierd question, but I think it definitely helps to be a lot more loose all around.

I probably should stretch. I pull muscles a lot and have a lot of muscle related injuries.

I stretch everytime. It makes me feel better when im riding, im usually pretty stiff and i dont have lots of style when i dont stretch.

seven11, that's the same trick dave screwed his knee up on.

A bad split is my biggest fear. I've only done one but it was mellow. And I've been thinking about this, and it's amazing to me that very few pros have wrecked themselves seriously by doing the splits. Byerly is the most recent casualty (and you can toss murray in there), but after that, i can't think of many. And when I see that crazy split thomas does in snap when he tried a wake to wake 3...i don't even know how he didn't tear his knee apart.

ANyway, hopefully you'll feel better soon. Also, if my brother were here, his advice would be "land on the board." He's such a little fizzle, huh?
