hammer49, put some polyesther resin, or two part clear epoxy in the crack and clamp it shut with lots of clamps leav eit for a good 12 to 24 hours, then sand any lumpies off and reseal with a spray can of clear polyurethane _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |

PIRATE, LOL, Good idea.
kento911, Yeah that'll work too.
Better yet seal it with a thin coat of resin.
Bullet proof. |

This is a quote from Schmaltz from an earlier thread...
| Quote: | ...buy some bondo and mix it up hot (lots of hardner)... press it into the dent or hole and let it set up... once it starts to get solid sand it down. you don't need to wait too long it's better to start sanding it before it's totally cured... this will cut down on sanding time.
Or pack the hole with bondo... scrape off the excess then place a sticker over it... when it's cured peel the sticker off and you won't need to sand it at all.
thats the best way... even if you have a wood decks. |

ive been working on a skate for a little while that my friend gave me. its condition is not bad but on the concave rails it had some chunks missing. i was just trying to get the shape back to normal not really as worried about strength because they were just minor chips. i just filled the chunks in with wood puddy and then sanded it into the shape of the rails. seems like it is going to work pretty well.
forgot to mention i am going to Paint and coat it with polyeurethane afterward so it doesnt matter what it looks like.... |

senorbueno, bondo needs to mixed the right ratio, and I wouldnt reccomend noobs a bondo go heavy on the catalyst, plus if you dont get a rasp and knock of the surface gum when it gets lik echeesetextured, it'll load up your sand papae rand be miserable to shape, plus bondo isnt structural, not is it water proof, bondo is really onlyt good for filling in and reshaping when you got like a missing chunk of board, like what Jimmy T, described, and even then its gotta be selaed and it'll "pop off" sometimes _________________ why dont you try playing hide and go Fvck yourself |
