Friends and I planning to launch a new wakeskating company.

Well me and a couple of my friends got to talking about how awesome it would be for us to run our own wakeskating company. We already have some t-shirts made and we got some deals worked out with a local shop. But the problem we face is with acquiring the wakeskates. Is there anyway you can buy blank wakeskates? Or does anyone know how a small time wakeskating company could get off the ground and get some wakeskates manufactured?

if you just want to take other companies wakeskates and resell them under your name you are too late. already been done. 484

Is it just me, or is the wakeskate manufacturing market being flooded? Seems to be TONS of little companies now

cooksey, i know a co. that will press your skates. seriously though dude if you want to get into this get into it to make a difference we really dont need some more flat decks with foam concave on top.

why start a company if all you're doing is adding graphics to pre-made boards? i mean i have had the idea too, but then i realized i have no new innovation to help the sport so why do it?

At least you're being creative. My friend also wants to start a company and has his t-shirts and stickers already made. He found someone who would make the boards, 500 to start. I don't know how he could sell 500 boards. There are already so many good boards to choose from. It won't be easy. I would think getting the boards made would be easy if you have the loot, selling them is going to be the tough part. Good luck!
