i thought that if a pre ordered it...it would take longer to be shipped than just waiting till it was released and going down to a shop and buying it. Either way...i've never been so stoked for a band to release a cd.

i have a confession...i broke down and downloaded the Widow off the net...i feel guilty for doing it...but honestly...it just made me want the cd more. if the Widow is any sort of hint as to what to expect...this might just be an even better album that Deloused!

A lot of good memories were had with "At the Drive-in".

Matt! If you want a good Guelph artist, pick up Gentlemen Reg, or go see him play. It's good stuff.

yes its worth picking it up. its absolutely SICK beyond words.

its 4 tracks, but 77 mins long. the last track is 31 mins. its kinda like cicatriz esp how there is just a crazy ass solo in the middle. yep. you'll probably wet yourself after listening to it. its just that good.

as much as i loved ATDI's relationship of command cd, i think i like the mars volta more.

there are only four tracks, not including the self titled track which i dont think is released in USA.

1. cygmus...vismund cygmus (or something like that)
2. the widow
3. l'via, l'viaquez
4. cassandra gemini

there are several movements within each song, however, but the movements within a song all seamlessly follow one another. the songs are different.

and to what Michael Manzer, said, dont burn it, the mars volta is one of those bandsthat you wnat to support as much as you can, and not rip them off.

scott a, you forgot about "miranda, that ghost just isn't holy anymore as the 4th track

am i the only one that loves listening to the entire 31 mins of cassandra gemini without inturruption? it sounds like sex. thats right kiddies...sex.

why the hell dont they come to norcal??! son of a crap. they play in SD AND LA, but no SF...what gives?
