I just found out that a friend of mine died in a car wreck late last night... it's so weird, it's like I have to keep telling myself that I won't see him again, that I won't see him again at a show or the mall or church. What's really weird was I had been thinking about him during today before I heard anything. Also last night, I woke up from some crazy dream I can't remember, just feeling like I was wide awake for about thirty seconds, and then fell dead asleep again. I have no idea if those two things have anything to do with each other, but... man... life is so fragile.

Luke, I'm so sorry bro... Was it anyone I know? Just kinda also goes to show you, cars are scary shizzle. For the freedoms they allow us they also have the capability to end you just like that. My condolences to his friends and family man... Life is precious.

Life is precious... my friend lost his sister right b4 x-mas, i got to know her during summer, it was hard hearing she died in a car accident, we went to thier house and her mom was like "its so werid thinking that shes never gunna walk in that door to come home" Life can end in a second. Cars are dangerious, esspcialy wiht alchohal, dont ever drink and drive, and be caustioous whne u do drive, your life can change at any moment.

Hey el, I'm sorry to hear about your friend's death. This is what I try to believe, so people can think it's as cheesy as they want, but when good people die, I like to think there's a reason behind it. Anyway, take care.

You know, I never thought about purpose in actions and results "that far" before (I won't expand much farther than that). For whatever reason, I've just kind of thought about death lately, and when good people leave us. Like this past week a teacher died at our local ski hill...my sister knew him and he was just an awesome guy and affected so many people's lives in a positive way. Or one other person I thought about was josh malay.

My aunt believes in pre-destination, though that concept frightens me, and I'd like to think that I have SOME control over my life. But then you go back to the "all things happen for a reason" idea, and it seemes tied to predestination, in certain respects...

This is crazy, but have you seen the movie "serendipity"? It's kind of foofy...but I really liked it a lot (and it's relevant to "things happening for a reason"). I suggest you check your tv guide and see when it will be on tbs in the near future. Then, you tell your friends that 'you have plans" and you secretly watch and love it...

seven11, that's unbelievable, and i"m sorry to hear that...

it all gets a little better....but it still can never compare, i lost my dad and my brother and every day i think about if id be the same person i am with them. i wonder how big of an influence they would have been and if wed be in the same place right now. my dad was one of the best stunt/helicopter pilots in the world and i apparently had the potential to follow in his footsteps. he died in an airshow and for a while i didnt want to fly, but something brought me back to it and i cant wait to every time i go. to this day i wonder if i could be famous for flying or something like that. i also think about if something could have happened to me flying and if id be into stuff like wakeboarding.

seven11, el -keep on truckin and itll eventually be better

I have experienced this as well, it's all to familiar. Freshman year of high school we lost two students. One i knew from bball(the first one to die that year) and then during the spring we lost a kid from my brothers class. They all sucked, but the worst was sophmore year. We lost matt to a car accident on his way to school. Can't imagine if it woud happen to one of my friends from my class, especially the ones i have known since i was 3 years old. The fact that people still drink and drive pisses me off and I hate myself for doing it before as well.

This year I have also lost two grandparents, one from both sides of the family. That is one of the worst things possible. Mygrandma died just last week. Watching my grandpa cry was the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with, I started crying myself.

A friend of mine at work(the one in my interests on the profile) also lost her dad, he comitted suicide. It think it would have been when she was in 8th grade. Losing a parent at that age or any I could never deal with. Since I have become good friends and the point of liking her way to much, I have always wondered why he killed himself. But know it would be horrible thing to bring up.
