I'm new to wakeskating and I finally got enough money to go out and get me a board, any suggestions..?

Yeah, use the search button. People are just going to say their favorite board, not that there is anything wrong with it but they don't give reasons.
Post a little bit more about what you are looking for" concave or not, wood or not, price range, a brand you like or don't, etc.
Pretty much any board you go with will be fine, they all have goods and bads.

Kels, do yourself a favor and stay away from wakeskates that are made by wakeboard companies. If you want a wakeskate that is made by people that actually care about the way their skates ride (cassette, integrity, kampus) instead of how much money they can suck out of our industry (hyperlite, Jstar, obrien, LF), go for a skate from a rider-owned company.

www.integrity-wake.com - I recommend the new Lemons skate, it has incredible pop, it is VERY durable and the concave on it is perfect. It will last longer than any other skate on the market.

I think colorless is exactly right. Your best bet is to do your own research wherever you can and find this info with an open mind. There's brand loyalty, and I can understand that. And then there are people that will list all of the cons of the "bad" board and only list the "pros" of the board they want you to buy.

Nick listed a few good things to consider as well. And I'm not sure how soon you need your wakeskate, but another new company called OMEN will be making some boards as well. And Collin wright is making wakeskates as well--he's rider operated and if that means anything to you (that's not a guilt trip thing, by the way) it might be worth it to at least check out your options. Either way, good luck! We're all pretty lucky to have a nice selection of sticks from some pretty cook companies.

well since you live close to me you hsould come try out my board. i have a 05 concave cassette and my freind just ordered a bi-level, and another kid i know has a cassete flat and a byerly so that could give you a lil idea if you wanna come ride then pm me.
